Introducing Aura: The new series of Kast Canvas basins
It's been a challenging year but we're so pleased to finally introduce Aura, a new trio of patterned basins as part of our ever-expanding Kast Canvas collection. Unified by a refined, contemporary pill shape and fluted surface details, the Aura basins span three styles; a single basin, double basin and a freestanding pedestal basin.
Inspired by classic principles of architecture, the elongated elliptical form of all three basins command a compelling and elegant presence, while the repetition of the curved flutes bring the basins to life with a striking interplay of light and shadow. Combining intricate detailing with innovative production techniques, the Aura basins are a continuation of our pursuit to experiment with design through pattern, form and functionality.
Aura
A slim pill-shaped basin featuring subtle contours and offset vanity space with a ribbed surface pattern. The vanity insert hides the waste and enhances the minimal form.
Aura Double
Minimal and elongated in form to create a twin basin for two. The central vanity space features the striking fluted surface pattern and hides the waste.
Aura Pedestal
Minimal in form, this curved, freestanding pedestal basin features the contemporary ribbed surface pattern across the outer face. A statement piece for a luxury bathroom or powder room.
The Kast Canvas collection of patterned basins began as an exploration to challenge the limitations and perceptions of both concrete and bathroom furniture. “We noticed a trend for consumers wanting to take more risks with design to showcase their individual style and personality,” says Tim Bayes, Founder & MD of Kast. “In 2018 we seized the opportunity to lead in the bathroom market with bold, colourful and patterned basin designs that demanded attention and inspired creativity. It’s been great to see them so highly regarded across the world and we’re excited to see the reaction to the latest additions to the Kast Canvas range.”
