Products can vary slightly from their pictures and their appearance may change over time
A product's true colour and appearance may not exactly match those shown on our website, in our brochure or in any showrooms. Any samples of the product provided to you are an example only and will not be definitive of the finished product. We endeavor to control all aspects of the manufacturing process, however, due to the nature of the processes involved and concrete as a material, the following variations can occur: colour, surface texture, and number of "bug holes" (caused by trapped air), crazing, edge patination, texture flow lines, and exposed aggregates. These variances create a distinctive look that is integral to the character of the material and is what makes each product unique and are not considered defects. No warranties are made against these natural variations, scratching, or wear due to improper installation, including but not limited to improper alteration of the surface with sealers or grout, falling objects, abuse, misuse, exposure to extreme temperatures, using improper chemicals or compounds, or other similar incidents.
In all cases the concrete in the products will continue to cure for months, even years after the product has been delivered and so the general appearance of the basin may change over time.
Please refer to the Kast Advisory and Aftercare Document for further information.
You're responsible for making sure your measurements and designs are accurate
If we're making or supplying the product to your measurements, specifications and/or designs you provide, you're responsible for making sure they are correct.
Where we manufacture products based on your architect’s or other designer’s drawings, the design remains the responsibility of your original architect, designer, contractor, installer, or equivalent. We will not be held responsible for discrepancies.
You must check products following delivery and notify Kast if there are any issues
When our product is delivered to you, you must review the product for accuracy of product ordered, including but not limited to quantity, quality, colour, and any damage or defect caused during delivery. Please contact our Customer Service Team immediately at +44 (0) 1623 709 249 or at customerservice@kastconcretebasins.com if any problems exist.
You must inform Kast by email at customerservice@kastconcretebasins.com and any third party delivery carrier of any delivery damage or loss claims within 1 working day of the product being received by you.
You're responsible for taking care of the product following delivery and for proper installation of the product
Please note that you must take extra care of the product in the first 28 days after delivery as this is the time period where the product can be more susceptible to staining as not only is the concrete continuing to cure but the sealer itself will still be going through the curing stages. Please refer to the Kast Advisory and Aftercare Document for greater detail.
We do not accept responsibility or liability for installation, sealing, or refinishing of any product. Please note you must take extra care when installing wastes, traps, and surface mounted taps.
Do not tighten the product with force as compression to the concrete surface can cause failure to the product. Please refer to our installation guidelines for more information Installation Guide.
We charge you if you don't give us information we need or if you're unprepared for delivery
We charge you additional sums if you don't give us information we've asked for about how we can locate and access your property for delivery or to provide services, and if you're not prepared for delivery. For example, we might need to re-deliver if you don't have sufficient manpower to unload your product and/or temporarily store your product if we are unable to deliver the product to you.
If you bought online or over the telephone, you have a legal right to change your mind
Your legal right to change your mind. Where products are bought online or over the telephone, you have a legal right to change your mind about your purchase and receive a refund of what you paid for it, including the delivery costs. This is subject to some conditions, as set out below.
When you can't change your mind. You can't change your mind about an order for products that are made to your specifications or design (i.e. where products are bespoke – as further set out below).
However, we do provide a two (2) year warranty period in respect of each product purchased and you still have legal rights if there is something wrong with our products. Further detail on our warranty is set out later in these terms and conditions.
The deadline for changing your mind. If you change your mind about a product you must let us know no later than 14 days after the day we deliver your product. If the products are split into several deliveries over different days, the period runs from the day after the last delivery (unless these are separate orders).
How to let us know. To let us know you want to change your mind, contact our Customer Service Team by filling in the cancellation form in the Appendix to these terms and emailing it to us at customerservice@kastconcretebasins.com.
You have to return the product at your own cost. You have to return your product to us within 14 days of your telling us you have changed your mind. Returns are at your own cost.
We will confirm our returns delivery address by email after you tell us you want to return a product. Products cannot be returned to a showroom.
You must send the product back to us, using an established delivery service. If you do this you should keep a receipt or other evidence from the delivery service that proves you have sent it and when you sent it. If you don’t do this and we don’t receive the products at all or within a reasonable time we won't refund you the price. For help with returns, contact our Customer Service Team: at +44 (0) 1623 709 249 or at customerservice@kastconcretebasins.com.
We only refund standard delivery costs. We don't refund any extra you have paid for express delivery or delivery at a particular time.
We reduce your refund if you have used or damaged a product. If you do not handle the product in accordance with the Kast Advisory and Aftercare Document, we reduce your refund, to compensate us for its reduced value. For example, we reduce your refund if the product's condition is not "as new", the product has been stored incorrectly, the packaging is damaged or accessories are missing (such as brackets or frames). In some cases, because of the way you have treated the product, no refund may be due. Our Customer Service Team at +44 (0) 1623 709 249 or at customerservice@kastconcretebasins.com can advise you on whether we're likely to reduce your refund.
When and how we refund you. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the product back from you. We refund you by the method you used for payment. We don't charge a fee for the refund.
Our warranty. We offer our customers a two (2) year warranty for most products (unless otherwise noted). Our products are warranted to the original customer to be free from structural failings only for two (2) years from the date of delivery. No warranties are made against any natural variations (as described in the Products can vary slightly from their pictures and their appearance may change section), scratching, or wear due to improper installation, including but not limited to improper alteration of the surface with sealers or grout, falling objects, abuse, misuse, exposure to extreme temperatures, using improper chemicals or compounds, or other similar incidents, and any failure to follow the guidance in the Kast Advisory and Aftercare Document.
This warranty does not affect your legal rights if there is something wrong with your product.
You have rights if there is something wrong with your product
If you think there is something wrong with your product, you must contact our Customer Service Team by telephone on +44 (0) 1623 709 249 or by emailing us at customerservice@kastconcretebasins.com. We honour our legal duty to provide you with products that are as described to you on our website and that meet all the requirements imposed by law.
We can change products and these terms
Changes we can always make. We can always change a product:
to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements;
to make minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a safety concern. These are changes that don't affect your use of our products; and
Changes we can only make if we give you notice and an option to terminate. deal with technical problems or make minor technical changes;
update the product to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; or
make changes to the product (see We can change products and these terms).
We can end our contract with you
We can end our contract with you for a product and claim any compensation due to us (including enforcement costs) if:

you don't, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information, cooperation or access that we need to provide the product, for example, delivery information, collection information (including confirmation that any third party collecting the product is adequately insured to do so) and product specification;
you don't, within a reasonable time, either allow us to deliver the product to you or collect it from us.
We don't compensate you for all losses caused by us or our products
We're responsible for losses you suffer caused by us breaching this contract unless the loss is:
Unexpected. It was not obvious that it would happen and nothing you said to us before we accepted your order meant we should have expected it (so, in the law, the loss was unforeseeable).
