FAQs

Where can I find prices?

You can email us or you can receive prices by filling out any of the enquiry forms on our product pages or the request price list page.

What is the general lead time for orders?

Due to the semi-bespoke nature of our products, all basins are made to order and lead times are currently around 3-4 weeks. A more accurate lead time can be given upon enquiry for a specific product, however, this will still be an estimated lead time due to the unpredictable nature of concrete.

Where can I see Kast products in person?

You can see a Kast basin on display in any of the showrooms listed on our website. You can also get in touch with our office team who will be happy to help direct you to a showroom displaying the basin(s) you’re interested in.

What are your basins made out of?

All Kast basins are made from high-quality aggregate-based concrete. Real, authentic concrete using specially sourced sands, aggregates and cement mixed with high-quality pigments. Read more about our concrete here.

More information is available in our Advisory Document here.

Are the basins sealed?

All of our basins are fully sealed prior to leaving the factory. Our unique sealing system provides the most effective protection whilst still maintaining the natural look and feel of concrete.

Will the basins need to be resealed?

No, the basins are sealed with a one-time sealer. However, as an additional protective barrier, Kast basins can be waxed regularly with a soft cloth as and when required.

Read more about our Aftercare here.

What should I use to clean my basin?

We advise using a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner with warm water. Kast basins must not be cleaned with any products containing bleach or harsh chemicals. Ideally, basins should be rinsed thoroughly and dried after cleaning. Kast basins must not be rubbed with abrasive materials such as scouring pads, abrasive sponge-backs or wire wool as this may result in scratching and permanent damage to the surface.

Do the basins come with tap-holes pre-drilled?

All Kast basins that are designed to include tap holes can be supplied with the tap holes pre-drilled unless stated otherwise. Tap holes cannot be drilled until the hole size and location have been confirmed by the client.

Do the basins have an overflow?

As standard, all Kast basins do not have an overflow. If this is a project requirement please contact us to discuss your custom requirements and the options available.

What waste will fit the basins?

All basins are suitable for a standard 1 ¼” basin waste. If you are unsure if a waste is suitable please get in touch and a member of the team will be happy to advise you.

How much is shipping?

We ship worldwide so the cost of shipping varies depending on the location as well as the size and weight of your basin. If you let us know which country you’re based in and what basin(s) you’re interested in we can provide you with a cost for shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

We are able to ship all of our products worldwide.

Will I receive tracking information for my order?

Tracking information will be sent to you automatically once your order has been shipped, from there our delivery courier will keep you updated on the progress of your order.

What happens if my basin arrives damaged?

Our basins are carefully packaged to ensure they are fully protected during transit, however, on rare occasions, damages can occur. All Kast basins must be inspected within 12 hours of delivery and any issues reported to a member of the Kast team immediately. In the event that there is damage to your concrete basin, Kast will recommend the best solution.

How heavy are the basins?

All Kast basins are made from real, aggregate-based concrete which means they are heavy. It is the client's responsibility to provide lifting assistance upon delivery which is curbside only. If you need to know the weight of a specific basin prior to ordering or installation please get in touch.

Do you supply brackets for wall-mounting the basins?

All wall-hung basins are provided with steel brackets. To ensure the basins are fully supported, brackets must be recessed into the wall by 10-22mm and fixed to an appropriate wall substrate such as timber or metal cladding that is able to support the weight of the basin. Please note the brackets are designed for inset wall installation only and should be installed before tiling and decorating.

Can I receive the brackets ahead of time?

Unfortunately not. We do not recommend installing brackets before receiving the basin as we would advise you to use the basin as a reference for the placement of the brackets.

Are there instructions for installation?

Installation instructions are provided by PDF at the time of order and are included in the box alongside the basin on delivery. You can view our installation guide here.
