Kast Concrete Basins | Brexit Update

Since the end of the UK transitional period on the 31st December 2021, Kast has continued to process your orders as usual with minimal disruption. We have successfully been delivering our products all over the world, however, we are seeing transit times into Europe being extended slightly due to hold-ups at port due to Brexit and COVID-19. Please see our responses below to some of our most frequently asked questions about Brexit.

Brexit FAQs

Will my order cost more?

For UK customers (including Northern Ireland) there is no change to how your order is processed and delivered.

For EU/International customers, you will need to pay customs duties, import taxes and VAT particular to your location. This is new for EU customers and we would recommend speaking with your local tax authorities/customs office if you require any further information.

Will I need to pay any fees at customs?

If you are based outside of the UK, all international deliveries will be subject to customs duties, VAT, fees and taxes particular to your country.

For EU customers, import tax will be payable upon delivery to your country. The UK has secured a zero tariff EU-UK Trade Agreement and as our products are of UK origin, we are able to benefit from this. For registered companies, you will however be able to claim this tax back. If you require any further information, we would recommend speaking with your local tax authorities/customs office.

Will my order be delayed?

Unfortunately, we are experiencing significant delays resulting in increased lead times of around 8-10 weeks at the moment; this is due to a combination of COVID-19 and Brexit related issues. We are also experiencing some disruption to delivery services due to the current situation with both COVID-19 and Brexit.

We are continuing to monitor this situation and are doing our best to ensure orders get to you as smoothly as possible.

Kast would like to thank all our customers for their continued support and understanding during these difficult times. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by emailing info@kastconcretebasins.com.
