Kast at 3 Days of Design 2026
Last week, we travelled to Copenhagen for our first ever 3 Days of Design, joining Material Matters at Ukraine House in Denmark, a beautiful canal side venue in the heart of Christianshavn.
For three days, the city felt completely transformed. Every street seemed to lead to a new exhibition, installation or conversation. Designers, makers, architects and creatives from around the world gathered to share ideas, celebrate craftsmanship and explore new ways of thinking about design. Even beyond the festival itself, there was a real sense of community throughout the city, from morning run clubs and coffee meet ups to the countless conversations happening in showrooms, galleries and cafés.
What struck us most was the atmosphere. Copenhagen felt open, welcoming and full of inspiration. Despite a few rain showers, the city was bathed in sunshine for much of the week and there was an energy that was impossible not to be drawn into. Each morning, walking along the canal to Ukraine House, we felt incredibly lucky to be part of it.
As part of Material Matters, we were proud to exhibit alongside a carefully curated group of brands, designers and material innovators who share a passion for craftsmanship, sustainability and thoughtful design. Being surrounded by so many like minded people made the experience particularly special and reinforced why events like these are so important to us.
For the occasion, we brought TheKast Colour Library, an immersive display designed to showcase the creative possibilities of colour in concrete. Alongside three Orme basins presented in our recently launched colours, Oat, Espresso and Olive, we displayed a collection of Mini Tilde basins across our full 28 colour palette, offering visitors a chance to explore the breadth of the collection and experience the subtle variations in tone, texture and finish up close.
The display was complemented by a selection of statement pieces, including Otto in Sandcastle, Rho in Forest and Iva in Ember. Together, the collection encouraged a more tactile experience, inviting visitors to engage with the material through touch as well as sight. By bringing the full palette together in one space, we wanted to celebrate colour as a powerful design tool and demonstrate the versatility that sits at the heart of the Kast collection.
One of the highlights of the week was simply meeting so many wonderful people. Whether discovering Kast for the first time, sharing project stories or discussing the role of colour and materiality in contemporary interiors, every conversation felt inspiring.
To everyone who visited us at Ukraine House, thank you. We are incredibly grateful for your time, your interest and the many conversations that made our first 3 Days of Design such a memorable experience.
We leave Copenhagen feeling inspired, energised and proud to have been part of a festival that celebrates not only great design, but also the people, ideas and communities behind it.
Until next time, Copenhagen. 💙
