Crafting Personal Sanctuaries: Stephanie's Approach to Bathroom Design

“When it comes to designing bathrooms, our primary focus is ensuring that the client feels not only comfortable but also like the best version of themselves. Bathrooms are incredibly personal spaces, and we believe that with the right mix of colour, material combinations, and personalised touches, we can create a sanctuary where people can truly be themselves.” Stephanie highlights how thoughtful design can transform spaces into sanctuaries that reflect personal identity and provide comfort.

Endless Sources of Inspiration

A creative process fueled by a diverse array of influences “Colour, for me, is an endless source of inspiration. I find inspiration in the vibrant hues of nature, the intricate colour palettes of art, and even the play of light and shadow in everyday life. It's this endless possibility of colour that excites and motivates me in my work.”  Stephanie finds inspiration in a myriad of places - “from my travels to archival research, design fairs, and even movies. Inspiration truly knows no bounds.”

“What I love most about Kast basins is their versatility. Whether it's a residential project or a commercial venture, Kast basins effortlessly elevate the space with their striking designs and vibrant colours. Clients adore them for their ability to infuse a sense of personality and style into any setting. I'm particularly drawn to the captivating colour palette, unique shapes, and the sense of fun and whimsy they bring to any space.”

What’s been your favorite Kast featured project?

“Brasserie Turbinenhaus! a restaurant we designed near Munich - for sure!” This bathroom design features four Aura Pedestals, presented in a twin set. “The combination of patterned tiles, coloured basins (which perfectly complement the tiles), and industrial-looking lights creates a harmonious and visually captivating space.”

What’s your favorite Kast colour?

“Choosing a favourite Kast colour is a tough task, as I genuinely adore them all! It's incredibly refreshing to have basins available in such a diverse range of fun and vibrant colours, especially in Germany where coloured basins can be hard to come by.”

Do you have a favourite basin?

“While I'm torn between many, I must admit a soft spot for the Aura series and the Iva basin.”
