Luxury Residential Ensuite: The Brynland Project with Herringbone Interior Design

Herringbone Interior Design transforms luxury homes and boutique hotels across the UK and Europe, creating spaces where form meets function through carefully selected materials and textures. “I am passionate about creating spaces that people love to be in and design with meticulous attention to detail. I love working with a range of materials, colours and styles for my clients.” shares designer Linzi Brown, of the Brynland project.

For this bathroom, a Kast basin was the perfect choice; its 28-colour palette allowed Linzi to achieve a cohesive design that fused zellige tiles, terrazzo, wood, porcelain, brass fixtures, and black accents. This mix created a striking yet comforting ensuite space. The Vos basin, with its deep bowl and clean, minimal lines, includes a small ledge for deck-mounted taps or storage, adding functionality.

Elevating Everyday Spaces

Function is a central part of Linzis’s design philosophy, “Understanding the client's brief is crucial, including how they intend to use the space,” she explains “I take the time to carefully plan each room, thoughtfully selecting materials to make each project unique.” Kast’s product range spans from striking freestanding pedestal designs, to double basins, countertop designs with extended vanity space and wall-hung designs, this allows designers the freedom to design personal spaces. Each design is available in a choice of 28 colours, allowing for creative flexibility.

“When designing interiors, I find inspiration in a variety of sources. I enjoy experimenting with colours and textures to create unique and inviting spaces. Each project brings a new challenge, and I enjoy working with different design briefs and budgets to deliver personalised and creative solutions.”

The Standout Basin

The Vos basin has become a standout feature in Linzi’s bathroom designs. “The client had seen them and really wanted to use one,” she recalls. “I’d been wanting to specify them for some time, so I jumped at the chance!” The Vos basin’s wall-hung design and decorative surface pattern make it the perfect fit for the Byland project. The blend of surface patterns and textures, combined with the warm palette, made a space-restricted loft ensuite feel open and inviting.“The client was keen to use colour and texture throughout the project which made it a really fun one to work on. It definitely felt like a great collaboration between the client, Herringbone Interior Design and Blueprint Architects.

Do you have a favourite basin?

“I particularly like the design of the Tilde basin - I would love to specify that in the next project!”

What’s your favorite Kast colour?

“I love the Ember colour that we chose for Brynland but I also really love the Sage and Mineral colours too!”

What would you say to others considering incorporating a Kast basin into a project?

“Do it! There are so many colours and designs to choose from and it really is a stand-out piece - I think this really shows in the Brynland bathroom.”
